Abstract
One pot microwave synthesis is carried out for the synthesis of silver molybdate nanoparticles (Ag2MoO4 NPs) in the presence D-glucose. The as-synthesized Ag2MoO4 NPs were characterized by UV–Visible spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and infrared spectroscopy. The XRD studies shows approximately 63 nm particle size of Ag2MoO4 NPs is generated by microwave heating. The structural investigation of the silver molybdate nanoparticles are studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). In UV region, broad absorption peaks are shown for Ag2MoO4 nanoparticles and the peaks are in blue shift region from 250-550 nm. The Photoluminscence spectra (PL) exhibited one intense emission peak centered at 362 nm for the Ag2MoO4 nanoparticles. In addition, the mechanism of the formation of Ag2MoO4 nanoparticles via microwave heating in the presence of d-glucose is also mentioned.
